Description
For your consideration is this late 19th century French hand painted porcelain and bronze trinket / pill box. The box shows a bronze construction throughout with the top lid having a hand painted piece of porcelain showing the Emperor Napoleon I in his chasseur, a cheval uniform. The outside and edge around the porcelain painting show fine, detailed floral like designs and is stamped on the bottom reading, "France". The box is hinged on the lid and shows a felt material on the inside of the trinket / pill box. The box shows good condition overall with little to no wear but no obvious signs of damage are present. The box measures 2 1/4" L x 1 11/16" W x 1" H and weighs 48 grams.*
