Description
Featured in this lot are two Navajo Old Pawn sterling and turquoise pins or brooches circa early 1900s. The pins / brooches are attributed to Navajo silversmith Fred Harvey. The first in this lot shows a circular cabochon of King's Manassa set in the center of the piece surrounded by sterling beads with two sterling caps to the right and left. The back shows a spot to hold the pin and is stamped "Sterling". The second in this collection shows a sterling construction with two beads of sterling on either side of the circular cut cabochon of Easter Blue turquoise. The pin shows intricate and detailed stamped designs throughout the piece, while the back shows a small hook to hold the pin. The pins show good condition overall with patinas present from their age and use over the years, but no obvious signs of damage are present.
