Two Chinese carved wooden Buddhist figures comprising, a seated temple or votive statue wearing a Mandarin robe and crown, the back carved with two rectangular openings, the top opening filled with a folded paper having text, (likely a prayer), the bottom opening having a partial wax seal, the figure covered in red pigment; together with a large polychrome carved wooden figure of a seated Buddhist monk, wearing a later hat and serpentine stone necklace, both apparently unmarked.
