These are homemade, hand sewn cushions Mr. Minch carried to Spring training every year to have signed by players and HOF'ers from multiple teams. One side of the cushion features Cleveland Indians with red number next to name signifying their jersey number. The other has other teams. On this cushion SIDE ONE 1975 Cleveland Indians. Hall of famers in CENTER RING include Lou Boudreau, J. Conlan, Lefty Gomez. RING ONE has Media and Newspaper personalities, and others including Lebovitz, Herb Score, Woody Smith. 34 in all. RING TWO has 16 umpires from both the National and American League. The rest of the RING has Indians players 31 in all. Notables include Manning, Dennis Eckersley, Gaylord Perry, Powell, Buddy Bell, Frank Robinson, Ashby, Mudcat Grant. OTHER SIDE includes 102 signatures from 7 teams (Padres, Brewers, Giants, Athletics, Cubs, Angels, Dodgers). Notables include Reggie Jackson, Ray Fosse, Andre Thornton, Nolan Ryan, Tom Lasorda, Ron Cey, Yeager. H.J.C. Minch, Cleveland native and avid Tribe fan traveled for more than 20 years to the Cleveland Indians Spring Training in Arizona. He was given an American League pass by then Indians club president Gabe Paul to travel and see any game for free. Included with every lot from this auction and his estate is documentation and article from Hal Lebovitz, (longtime Plain Dealer Editorial writer) describing Mr. Minch?s life with the Tribe. He was a well loved and a respected feature at Hi Corbett Field, Winter home of the Cleveland Indians every year. He was loved by the Cleveland Indians, and garnered numerous autographed baseballs and home made cushions from several teams which are all featured in this auction, and have autographs of many Hall of Famers as well as other players.
