19th Century burlwood veneer box / hummidor tea caddy lined with tin. Measures approx 13" x 9" x 6.5". Has no key and minor wear for age. (From the direct descendants of Baynard & Mary Gibson Henry. Both were prominent figures and contributors in Philadelphia. Mary Gibson Henry was a notable botanist and her plant collections were the first in creation of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University in Philadelphia.)
