Description
A GROUP OF JADE-MOUNTED PLAQUES AND BELT HOOKS
18th/19th century
Comprising: a silver hand mirror inset with hardstone cabochons, with carved jade chilong and dragon head belt hook handle and inset jade plaque with carved flame motif; an engraved silver box and cover with inset ruyi form plaque carved with a similar flame motif; and a magnifying glass with mounted jade belt hook handle, with dragon head terminal and carved pommel scroll motifs to the shaft.
The hand mirror 21cm (8 1/4in) long. (4).

Condition
Magnifier: from what can be seen the jade appears in good condition, but it has been firmly affixed to the metal mount and has not been removed for examination.
Mirror: there is a small chip to the circular knop of the belt hook of the jade and again the jades are firmly affixed to the metal mount, which could not be removed for further examination.
The box: the mental is well tarnished and the jade are firmly affixed.
