Item Details
Description
Near East, probably Iran, Islamic world, ca. 14th century CE. A pretty ceramic pitcher with a sharply curved, strap-like handle, a bulbous lower body standing on a round foot, a narrow neck, and a rounded mouth with a jutting lip. The body is coated with a deep olive green glaze that sits thickly upon the surface, flowing down to cover all but the foot and the area just above it. Size: 3.95" W x 6.25" H (10 cm x 15.9 cm)

Provenance: private Vero Beach, Florida, USA collection, acquired before 2003; ex-old French collection, Paris, France, acquired 1977 to 1987
