Arturo Rodríguez was born in Cuba, in 1956. He emigrated to Spain in 1973, where he first began exhibition, and later permanently reolcated to Miami in 1976. Rodríguez quickly established himself as a painter in Florida and the United States more broadly. Since leaving Cuba, exile has been a prominent theme in his work. Works by Arturo Rodríguez have been in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; the Jerusalem Museum, Israel; and The Norton Museum, West Palm Beach, Florida, among others.
