This rare letterhead embossed with the locations of his firm's offices - Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and Tokio - announces Frank Lloyd Wright as an architect with international reach and influence. Indeed, Wright had completed his most well known international project - Tokyo's Imperial Hotel - several years earlier, 1923. The letterhead also demonstrates Wright's inventive use of negative space, a characteristic of Japanese art and design that influenced his style across all media.
