Description
Sinclair Harding, Cheltenham, a skeletonized "John Harrison Sea Clock", the polished brass timepiece movement with large escape wheel and dual compound pendulums, each carrying a counterpoised pallet, roman numeral silvered dial with separate seconds bit above 12:00, the lower part of the front plate with a Sinclair Harding badge, and scroll ornament below a reserve engraved with the serial #H- 024, the frame resting on rectangular plinths and mounted to a rectangular wooden base with conforming glass cover
Condition
running well, pendulum rods with minor oxide, barrel surface with a substantial amount of graphite grease residue, front plate with spot of corrosion, back plate with minor fingerprint staining, base with minor losses to finish, glass cover with two small chips, ACCESSORIES: Winding Key, Glass Cover, circa 1985
