Description
An 18s, 23j, Special Railway Model 3, made by The Hampden Watch Co. in Canton, OH, around 1899. This beauty features a full plate movement housed in a real nice C.W.C. Co. "PLANET" case, highly engraved; serial no. 653524. The porcelain dial is slightly sunk for the seconds bit and features a beautiful "ERIE DIAMOND LOGO" in black under the 12 position. There are no apparent hairlines or flaws in the dial. The blued, spade hands retain good luster save a little minor rust on the minute spade. This watch was wound three turns and is working, but undoubtedly will need to be cleaned and maintained. Included with this lot is a nice, glass-domed display case. This watch is a real beauty! Condition: (excellent). Dimensions: Dome: 4" x 4" x 5 - 1/4".
