Description
This spectacular piece is a 19th century wash stand and is Chinese origin. Upper panel features scrolls that also appear to be maybe an animal form. Fretwork in the middle with hand carved animals and foliage, flanked by scrolls and berries. Lower center is open with a small ledge with round carved spots possibly for bottles. Base is simple for holding a bowl with block finials, straight legs with gentle scrolls, center support appears hand turned. All appears hand crafted and hand carved, mortise and tenon construction in the top panel, with no screws used. All with a nice lacquer finish and gold accents. Overall approx. measures 60" tall x 19" wide. NOTE THE BOWL CAN BE FOUND IN ANOTHER LOT. Beautiful Piece.

Overall in great condition for age, appears to be a small section of fretwork missing in top panel.
