Modernist Sterling Silver Side Handle Hot Milk Pot, marked Georg Jensen Inc., USA, 1940s - 1950s, globular form with turned wood side handle, h. 4 7/8 in., w. 8 3/4 in., wt. 9.65 troy ozs. Note: In the 1920s Frederik Lunning was granted the right to be the sole Georg Jensen silver representative in the United States. In 1924 he opened the first Georg Jensen store in New York City. When their inventory of Jensen silver was depleted during World War II, Lunning established a serparate company, Georg Jensen Inc., USA to produce silver that resembled Danish pieces.
