Description
VICTORIAN DECORATED BLACK LACQUER BOXES, LOT OF TWO, each of rectangular form with hinged lid, featuring polychrome-enamel and mother-of-pearl inlay floral decorations, and additional gilt vine and grape decorations, the dome-top example with divided interior. Second half 19th century. 3 1/4" H, 8" x 5 1/4"; and 5 1/2" H, 6 3/4" x 4 1/4".

Condition
Very good overall condition, flat-top example lacking interior tray, dome-top example with small chip to front rim and interior repair at one hinge.Â
