ALVIN "CHATEAU ROSE" STERLING SILVER 39-PIECE FLATWARE SET, pattern introduced in 1940, comprising eight place forks, eight salad forks, eight cream soup spoons, seven teaspoons, and eight place knives with hollow handles and stainless blades. Each with "STERLING" and maker's marks. Total weight excluding eight place knives: 38.68 ozt. Alvin Corporation, Providence, RI. Mid/third quarter 20th century. 5 7/8" to 9 1/2" LOA.
