CONTINENTAL HAND-PAINTED PORCELAIN FIGURAL COVERED INKSTANDS, LOT OF FOUR, each featuring bright polychrome decorations, comprising two examples depicting a woman and child at a table with "Erst beton" (Pray first) printed to front of base, one example featuring an older woman teaching mending to a child, and one depicting a young woman and a child sitting on a chair, two lacking porcelain inkwell insert. Marks to underside include various numerals, incised or hand-brushed. Second half 19th century. 6 3/4" HOA.

Older woman/child undamaged; young woman/child example having some loss to applied flower and some professional restoration to base edge; each woman/child praying example having imperfections such as losses including one lacking jug on table and one child with loss of spoon, one woman with repair to wrist, and one with old restoration to interior holders.Â
