Late Qing - Early Republic Era Set of Floral Decorated Enamel on Metal Cups, ca 1912, in a silk covered fitted case, with typed history "This set of tea cups, enamel cloisonee (sic) on metal, were gotten during the Revolution in China when the Manchu dynasty fell, with the pig-tails were abolished.....Dr. Dunning bought this set for me during the Revolution in 1912 and gave it to me on his return from China. Mary Dunning", cups: 1 1/2" high, case: 3" high, 10" x 10". One cup with interior enamel losses; case exterior wear.
