Description
Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-built and highly burnished redware pottery vessel of broad, circular form bearing a flared rim and 2 rows of raised nodules encircling the upper shoulder. The round-bottomed vessel rests atop a trio of conical legs that allow it to stand comfortably. This vessel was perhaps used for storing food or drink. An attractive example from this shaft tomb culture. Size: 11.375" W x 6.25" H (28.9 cm x 15.9 cm)

Condition
Chips and losses to some raised nodules, with light abrasions, fading to pigment, and minor earthen deposits, otherwise intact and very good. Great preservation to overall form and red coloration.
