Description
Ancient Central Asia, Parthia, ca. 2nd century BCE to 2nd century CE. A hand-carved stone stamp seal of black hue and rectangular form depicting a seated figure next to a bird. The figure is seated atop a stool while wearing a crested helmet, perhaps Athena, while a sizable bird is perched atop a columnar altar within arm's reach. Size: 0.86" L x 0.59" W x 0.75" H (2.2 cm x 1.5 cm x 1.9 cm)
