EARLY BLACK DUCK by Mark Kears, Northfield, NJ, circa 1900. Working paint and very good structural condition. Hollow construction. Scratch-feather paint detail to body. Retains tack eyes and carved bill detail. Inlet weight and leather rigging. Retains John Hillman sales tag. For a similar example, see "New Jersey Decoys" by H. Fleckenstein, Jr., page 59.
