Bulbous form body, embossed with foliate and scroll panels, cartouches with engraved armorial, elongated cylindrical neck, hinged dome cover, the handle with ivory insulators, height 29.5cm, weight 17.6oz.

These are the arms of Edward Leonard BISSON (1797-1884) Esqr. of St Laurence Jersey, from 1832 Jurat of the Royal Court, 1839 Lieutenant Bailly and from 1857 Judge-delegate of the Island. He married Catherine Helena O'DONOVAN (died 1885).
Edward Leonard BISSON was born in St Hellier the son of Revd. Amice BISSON (1746-1812) chaplain of HM 95th Regiment, rector of St Brelade and finally St Laurence by Jeanne LeMAISTRE daughter of Elias LeMAISTRE Seignior Queltivel. The family BISSON were formerly from Normandy who had since the Norman conquest held lands on the island of Jersey.
Catherine Helena O'DONOVAN was born at Kilkee co. Clare Ireland and died in Cork.
