A matched Victorian Cellini pattern ewer and pitcher
Alfred Ivory, London 1866, and John Hunt & Robert Roskell, London 1880,
Conventional ovoid form, one with a hinged cover, each with cast scroll handles formed as a woman's bust, the body profusely chased and embossed with classical masks, figureheads, animals and floral sprays between flutes and strapwork, raised on a stepped circular base, the waisted collars with later presentation inscriptions, height 31cm and 31.5cm, weight 66.3oz.
