Richard Hudnut was a successful perfumer and businessman in the early 1900s. He was known for his high-quality fragrances and his innovative marketing techniques. In 1924, he launched Hudnut La Pyramide, a perfume inspired by the ancient Egyptian pyramids.The perfume was a huge success, and it quickly became one of Hudnut's most popular fragrances. It was known for its rich, oriental scent and its beautiful packaging. The original perfume bottles were made of crystal and shaped like stylized pyramids. The presentation boxes were also quite elaborate, made of green marbled cardstock and decorated with gold foil.Hudnut La Pyramide was worn by many famous women of the era, including Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor. It was also a favorite of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, who received a bottle as a gift from Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev. Perfumes and powders may not smell the same as they did when they were first created due to chemical changes over time and exposure to light and air.
