Description
A Leaded, Stained and Painted Glass Window of Saint John, D'Ascenzo Studios, Philadelphia, First Half 20th Century. Inscribed along the bottom of window 'Sain Jogn'. Layered 'plated technique' with copper foil. Framed in a later ebonized oak lightbox. Signed as pictured.Â
Dimensions: Sight 28 3/4 x 20 3/4in; Frame 33 3/4 x 26in; Depth 4 1/4in.
Footnote: Produced by D'Ascenzo Studios between 1904 and 1959. This work has descended in the family of David Bramnick (1892-1959), D'Ascenzo Studios' head designer and painter who worked with the firm for 45 years following Nicola D'Ascenzo's death in 1954.
Condition
The panel appears to be structurally sound. There are two breaks in the glass to the center of head. The frame with typical marks, wear, scuffs and surface scratches. Dust and dirt accumulation to crevices. We cannot guarantee the safety and functionality of the electrical components.
