Two African Wood Masks, a red and white painted and carved wood mask, probably We, Ivory Coast and an Ekpo Society mask, probably Ibibio, Nigeria, painted and with feather decoration.Provenance: Exhibited "African Art in Unlikely Places: The David Rapkin Collection," University of Nebraska, Eisentrager-Howard Gallery, 2012.
Measurements: Height: of Ekpo Society mask, 13 3/4 in. x Width: 9 3/4 in. x Depth: 5 3/4 in.
Condition
Overall good condition, wear and loss to paint, age cracks to wood of each, some chips to edges, lower lip of We mask broken and repaired, Ibibio mask with some losses to interior top edge and loss of feathers.
