Exhibited: The Third Exhibition of The Society of Western Artists,1898, according to a partial label affixed to the stretcher of the first work.

Visual of each: Dust accumulation and grime commensurate with age. The first has been cut off of its stretcher. Occasional tiny pigment losses, rice-sized or smaller, mostly at the edges or corners. The second with scattered and sometimes unstable craquelure with attendant pea-sized or smaller pigment losses.

Blacklight of each: No evidence of restoration.
