Description

A set of three bronze railroad medallions. The most notable among the group is a Baltimore & Ohio centennial medallion measuring 2 3/4". The front reads One Hundred Years Safety Strength Speed and the other side reads The Baltimore And Ohio Railroad Company 1827 1927. The medal shows minor discoloration and a few nicks along the edge. A 2 1/2" medal cast on one side with Crane Co. 1855 Seventy Fifth Anniversary 1930 and a portrait of the founder R.T. Crane. The back side is cast with 1930 Chicago July Fourth 1855. The medal shows discoloration and a few minor nicks and dents along the top. A 2 1/2" medal for W.W. Durham & Co. construction insurance with a cast image of Chicago Union Station and a bull on one side with an image of construction 231 La Salle St. Chicago on the other side. The medal shows discoloration and slightly worn graphics. See photos for best description.
