Description
C; 1915. Wurlitzer Music Company, North Tonawanda NY. An incredible Wurlitzer orchestrion, equipped to play flute pipes, piano, mandolin, triangle, and base and snare drums. In total, there are 38 pipes, and unlike any band organs of its time, this orchestrion can play a multitude of tunes, switching music rolls through the automatic rolls changer. It is housed in a fine oak cabinet, with elegant carved details and beautiful original stained glass windows. It was manufactured by Wurlitzer between 1913 and 1924. CONDITION: The story on this Wurlitzer BX is that it was originally sold to a river boat that sank. The orchestrion was salvaged from the wreck and meticulously restored back to its original glory; folklore maybe, but this example is in restored condition, and has recently gone through a complete mechanical tune-up. Working wonder light missing the bulb. Working and sounding beautiful, with very little wear to the oak case. A fantastic example. With keys and 6 rolls. This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made. Condition: (Restored). Dimensions: 94 - 1/2" x 60 - 1/2" x 30".
