Description
DSP. Maker marked, "Burdick." This wonderful piece of c. 1930's advertising for the Santa Fe Trail System features killer color and gloss along with a great graphic of an early bus. This sign comes with a newly made hanging bracket that displays well. CONDITION: Side 1 has excellent color and shine in the field and the bus graphic remains unharmed. There are two minor porcelain chips in the field and noticeable porcelain loss around the mounting holes and in other small areas near the extreme edge (8.9). Side 2 has a clean field in the graphic area with a few very small areas of porcelain loss in the outer field. The mounting holes and the extreme outer edge also have minor chipping, but nothing to distract from the piece's ability to present very well (8.8). The steel bracket has been recently produced but fits well and compliments the sign nicely. In total, this is a desirable sign with great graphics and good subject matter than would be a center piece to any collection. Condition: (8.9, 8.8). Dimensions: 26" X 23"
