DESCRIPTION: Antique Japanese Meiji Kutani Okimono large porcelain figure (14 1/2" inches tall) of a bijin or geisha hand decorated with heavily applied overglaze enamels and produced in the Kaga mountain village of Kutani. This large and heavy porcelain figure depicts a large geisha figurine dressed in a large blue kimono, her delicate hands in front of her, gently grasping a fan, the robe attire decorated with exquisite delicate floral motifs and overall gilt accents. This is a large and heavy porcelain figure.
