Condition
The bed appears in overall fairly good, stable, and ready to place condition. There are varying areas of flaking loss to the lacquered decoration at the corner posts. Some of the scalloped leather trim is torn. One of the canopy corner joints has been previously repaired where it splintered. The bed is lacking its canopy upholstery and there are old nail holes where upholstery was previously attached. One of the boards is lacking a central pagoda and there is an old age crack to one board, just beneath the pagoda, previously repaired. There is an oval fracture on the opposite board where possibly a hole was previously cut. The bed can accommodate mattress: 48 x 75 inches.
