Roman 2nd–3rd cent. A.D. Bronze.
H. 2 1/8 in; 5.4 cm
The goddess Isis appears in her Hellenistic iconography. She is dressed in an Attic chiton and over it wears a palla held together with knots of Isis. On her head she wears a headdress that originally consisted of a sun disc between two ox horns and a pomegranate. On a base of greenish stone.
Parts of the headdress missing; left edge of the bust slightly worn; otherwise intact.
Swiss priv. coll. D. E., Basel, having previously been in a German priv. coll. since ca. 1990.
