Description
19th c high style Victorian round "Borne" or Lobby Settee (sometimes also called a Conversation Sofa) from the Steamer Vermont (1871-1902) with elaborately carved black walnut arms, crest with gilt incised "V" and decorative elements, built to surround a column, currently in two parts for transport is 80" diameter and 42" high. Light soiling to mohair velvet upholstery and evidence of minor reasonable repairs commensurate with age.
