Description

The 18th century American Chippendale mahogany easy chair of excellent design with serpentine crest rail, well shaped wings, rolled arms, removable uphostered slip seat on square mahogany legs. Complete with report from wood product's lab of Madison Wisconsin identifying the chair's secondary woods as sugar maple and yellow poplar. Also with handwritten note indicating that when reupholstered with fine blue damask fabric they retained the original homespun linen and horsehair stuffing. The seat lifts to reveal an original wooden frame fitted with lid. Height 45"
