Louis Comfort Tiffany (American, 1848-1933) favrile decorated yellow and red art glass vase, 1896, the bulbous vessel with cylindrical neck in amber opalescent glass decorated about the base with overlaid pulled brilliant red glass swirls created by Arthur Nash (English, 1849-1934), inscribed "L.C. Tiffany - Favrile" and numbered "6441N" to underside. 5.5" H x 3.25" diameter. Provenance: From a Rye, N.Y. collection. Literature: "Louis Comfort Tiffany at Tiffany & Co." by John Loring, Harry N. Abrams Inc., Publishers, 2002, p. 142.
