Description
Louis Comfort Tiffany (American, 1848-1933) favrile art glass decorated cabinet vase, circa 1901, the shouldered ovoid vessel in deep green glass with deep black blue iridescence and decorated with trailing and leaves in iridescent metallic silvery blue hues, inscribed "L.C.T. 0793" with painted accession number "250.60" to underside. 3.25" H x 3.25" diameter. Provenance: From a Rye, N.Y. collection; Joseph H. Heil Collection, Museum of Modern Art, New York, gift from the above. Christie's, New York, The Tiffany Collection at the Museum of Modern Art, 12 June 2003, sale 1245, lot 83.
