A rare piece by Andy Warhol for his important and very early show at Eleanor Ward's Stable Gallery--his first Pop exhibition in a New York gallery. Held from November 6-24, 1962, these buttons were handed out to visitors on the opening night of the show, which featured eighteen works by the artist, including Do It Yourself, Baseball, Marilyn Diptych, Gold Marilyn Monroe, 129 Die, Close Cover Before Striking, Red Elvis, Troy Donahue, and Dance Diagram, as well as Warhol's serial images of Campbell's Soup cans, Coke bottles, and dollar bills. A stunningly well-preserved example.
