For your bidding pleasure is a Kachina themed Hopi sterling silver overlay bracelet. This bracelet features a Kachina themed design with near perfect cut outs and lines. A stippling technique was used to create a textured background which was then darkened to emphasize and add contrast to the design. The wide smooth silver cuff finishes off this piece nicely. Overlay jewelry consists of two pieces of silver soldered together. The top layer has a design drawn and cut out. When the design is complete, the top layer is soldered to a second layer of silver, which will show through the open areas of the design on the top.
MAKER: Hallmarked EH (offset, stamped). Emery Holmes (Hopi). Active since 1970s.
APPROX AGE: Fairly Modern (meaning 1980s or newer).  
SIZE: This bracelet measures approximately 5 3/8 inches from end to end on the silver, and has a 1 3/8 inch gap (fits a 6 3/4 inch wrist). It measures 1 inch wide at the widest part, and the total weight is 49.0 grams.
