Item Details

Description

A twisted wire vertical railroad lantern frame made but Defiance for the Buffalo Rochester & Pittsburgh Railroad. The frame has the Defiance hallmark on the very top. The twisted wire verticals are a give-away that it's a Defiance frame. The fount is a drop-in with the 3 leaf springs intact in the base. There are some symmetrical holes in the bell. What is really hard to see in the photos is that here is definitely daylight showing through pin holes all over the bell. The globe is a very nice clear cast with extended base and Corning Cnx hallmark with BR&PRR cast in a rectangular panel.
