Description
W. Dunbrock (American, Contemporary). "Pop Clock #2" hand-painted wooden table clock, 1992. Signed and dated on verso. Bright and cheery, this hand-painted wooden table clock presents a large arched face with a finely carved border. The face is hand painted with dots and concentric circle motifs rendered in shades of blue, green, and lavender as well as bold lime green numbers at each quarter of an hour with orange highlights emphasizing the presence of 3, 6, 9, and 12. The face's border is beautifully painted in black and pink. Yellow and red hands make for a colorful contrast, and an orange and aqua spiraled pendulum swings within a diamond-shaped opening bordered in polka dotted bands of pink, green, yellow, and green hues with all dot motifs outlined in black and an outer thick wavy black border. Absolutely every surface of the clock is adorned with imaginative decorative motifs - dots, concentric circles, striations, suns with beaming rays and more -all in a rainbow-like array of hues, with some details delineated in dimensional paint to create raised motifs. A mesmerizing clock that is sure to add a splash of "POP" to any room! Size: 4" L x 11.5" W x 22.875" H (10.2 cm x 29.2 cm x 58.1 cm)
