Zuni 1970s Carved Multi-Stone 30" Stacked Animal Fetish Necklace - This beautiful vintage Zuni animal fetish necklace is comprised of hand carved animals using real stones and shell such as turquoise, mother of pearl, black jet, serpentine, lapis, spiny oyster, and others. The necklace features a plethora of animals including bears, foxes, frogs, fish, armadillos, and birds, and is finished with a large central carved turquoise bear measuring 2" x 0.75". This necklace comes from a collection which has been housed in a vault for over 40 years. According to our seller, her parents started in the Native American jewelry business in 1972, and the family would travel to the New Mexico Native American reservations and purchase pieces directly from the tribes. They eventually went into the gold jewelry business and have kept these pieces in their private collection for over 40 years. Measurements: 30" length. Condition: Overall excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of wear.
