A mid 19th century American Banjo clock by William Cummens, Roxbury, Mass. 8-day time only movement with T-Bridge suspension and a painted Iron dial marked "Warranted by Wm. Cummens" with Roman numerals. Mahogany case with a Brass Eagle on Urn finial over a molded Brass dial door, tapered throat panel with reverse painted glass flanked by shaped Brass side arms, lower door with a reverse painted glass. Older finish with some wear, dial craquelure and some wear, replaced finial, crack in lower door glass, running when cataloged. 34 1/2" high overall. ESTIMATE $3,000-4,000
