A vintage mid-century modern hand hooked rug in the style of Dorothy Liebes manufactured by Bigelow. Tapa design. Original tag on backside of rug. A modern primitive style rug. Dorothy Liebes is often credited as a vital part of the California Modernist movement, and her textiles were characterized by their rich vibrant hues. She coined this the "California Look", which quickly was referred to as the "Liebes Look." From the estate of Anna Kenedi, prominent first female designer, and architect for Herman Miller. Dimensions: 120"h x 97"w. In good vintage condition.
