THE BLOODY MASSACRE... March 5th, 1770, mid-20th century copy after Paul Revere's engraving depicting the Revolutionary War massacre "perpetrated in King Street BOSTON on March 5th, 1770 by a party of the 29th Regt." Pencil numbered 34/150 lower right, in original cover from The Current Company of Bristol, Rhode Island. This halftone print follows the drawing and coloration of Revere's 1770 engraving, which is regarded as one of the most important and valuable American historical prints of all time (a recent 1770 example, second state of two, sold for over $400,000). Unframed. Image - 10 1/2" x 9 1/2". Sheet - 12 1/2" x 11 1/2".
