A RUSSIAN ICON OF CHRIST'S ENTRY INTO JERUSALEM, MOSCOW, 19TH CENTURY, painted in egg tempera colors on gold leaf ground on board. 16" x 13" Provenance: Estate of Robert William Guynn, Houston, Texas.
Condition
Craqueleur throughout, surface wear in areas, small areas of overpainting, surface buildup, some small scratches, a few little nicks, gilding worn in areas, board has expected slight curve and is cut with the two channels but is lacking the slats.
