Description
a.k.a. Goat, Frog and Old Man Bank. Made by Mechanical Novelty Works. New Britain, Connecticut - Early 1880's. Mechanical Novelty Works produced two different banks based on George Eddy's patent of Sept. 28, 1880. In this version, we find an old man seated atop a billy goat. His long goatee rivals that of the animal he rides. Pulling the goat and man backwards sets them in place to operate the bank. Pushing the button causes coins on the man's tray to deposit into the frog's mouth.
