AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) PORTRAIT OF A RACING SLOOP, watercolor and gouache on paper, in the manner of Jurgan Frederick Huge (1809-1878), possibly a Hudson River, New York scene with the Palisades in the background, no signature located. Housed under glass in a 19th century veneered frame. Circa 1860. 5 3/4" x 10 1/4" sight, 9 1/2" x 14" OA.

The important collection of H. Marshall Goodman Jr., Richmond, VA.
Condition
Good overall visual condition with minor to moderate toning and discoloration. Frame with minor wear, losses, and repairs to veneers. Not examined out of frame.
