Description
VIRGINIA SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) FOLK ART FARM SCENE, oil on canvas, a charming depiction of a horse and sheep at a well where a woman in garnet dress and straw bonnet is drawing water from a cast-iron pump into a white oak barrel secured with iron bands, split-rail fence and mountains in the distance, no signature located. Housed in a period, possibly original, veneered frame. Mid 19th century. 19 3/4" x 17 1/4" sight, 23 1/2" x 20 3/4" OA.

Condition
Excellent overall visual condition, old puncture and repair with associated inpainting to tree. Frame with minor wear.
