Description
NEW ENGLAND / NEW YORK CROMWELLIAN MAPLE SIDE CHAIR, the framed back above a rectangular seat having molded rails, raised on a framed base with turned balusters, molded upper stretchers, and a cut-out profile to the bottom of the lower stretchers. Modern leather upholstery, original seat leather and stuffing are present. Chestnut secondary wood. Probably Boston or New York. Second half 17th century. 38 3/4" HOA, 22 1/2" H seat.
