Description
GASPER PEETER VERBRUGGEN I (FLEMISH, 1635-1687) ATTRIBUTED PAIR OF STILL-LIFE PAINTINGS, oil on canvas, each depicting flowers in a basket flanked by table articles containing fruit, and with a parrot and assorted insects including caterpillars, dragonfly, beetles, and a grasshopper, no signature located. Housed in matching period gilt and gesso frames. Probably 17th century. 16" x 23" sight, 21" x 28 1/2" OA.
